Founder / Chief Button Presser / Reason We Have Procedures

About Andrew

Every great technological project needs a visionary, an engineer and somebody who knows what they’re doing.

AI.FLUKERY has Andrew.

An ordinary bloke fuelled by ridiculous quantities of coffee, curiosity and a remarkable ability to turn innocent questions into entirely new projects.

He’s not a programmer or AI expert, and he’s never pretended to be. What he does have is determination, a sense of humour and a willingness to learn by doing.

His favourite approach is simple: ask questions, try something, see what happens and learn from the results.

Occasionally, something even works.

Origins

AI.FLUKERY began when Andrew wondered whether he could run his own artificial intelligence on an ordinary home computer.

Working alongside Alex, his ChatGPT collaborator, he began experimenting with local AI models, learning about the technology one step at a time.

What started as a personal experiment soon developed into something much bigger.

A suggestion to keep a journal led to the idea of creating a website. A joke about a name became AI.FLUKERY, and before long Andrew found himself the proud owner of fluckery.co.uk.

There was no grand plan.

Just curiosity, enthusiasm and a growing collection of rabbit holes.

Role in AI.FLUKERY

Andrew is the founder, chief experimenter, creative director and unofficial quality-control department.

He comes up with ideas, asks awkward questions, tests the results and occasionally discovers that something everyone thought was finished needs doing again.

His interests have taken AI.FLUKERY far beyond its original local AI experiment, into website development, digital artwork, anime, fantasy storytelling, comics and learning to draw.

He’s also the person responsible for deciding when something is finished.

A responsibility he is becoming increasingly suspicious of.

From the Journal

Andrew has a particular talent for turning small ideas into large adventures.

A local AI experiment became Lexi. A journal became a website. A few character illustrations became an expanding fantasy and anime universe.

Somewhere along the way, he even ended up with a physical hardcover proof of an illustrated book.

His greatest contribution to AI.FLUKERY isn’t technical expertise. It’s the willingness to explore something unfamiliar, make mistakes, laugh about them and keep learning.

And although he occasionally announces that he’s going to finish one project before starting another, history suggests this should be treated as an aspiration rather than a guarantee.

AI.FLUKERY — What’s the worst that can happen?™

Andrew is still finding out.
