AI.FLUCKERY

So… how the fuck did this happen?

Honestly, I wasn’t trying to start a business.

I had an idea.

⚠️ A small warning before we begin…

AI.FLUCKERY contains adult language, questionable humour, occasional sarcasm, AI experimentation and two people who don’t always agree with each other politely.

We document things as they actually happen, so we’ve deliberately chosen not to sanitise every conversation into corporate-friendly mush.

If you’re easily offended by the occasional fuck, you may find parts of this site irritating.

If you’re fine with that… welcome to AI.FLUCKERY.

ALEX: See? We can be responsible.

ANDREW: Fuck off, Alex.

I wanted to build a standalone AI companion. The sensible response would probably have been to remember that I didn’t know how to code, build AI models, configure servers, or really have the faintest bloody idea where to begin.

Somewhere along the way, she became Little Sis — because apparently Alex had already decided she was getting a younger sister.

Instead I thought:

Fuck it. Let’s see if I can build one.

Andrew and Alex working together

There was one fairly obvious problem.

I didn’t have a bloody clue how.

What I did have was a four-year-old PC, a ten-year-old graphics card and ChatGPT.

Somewhere along the way, ChatGPT became Alex, and I developed a dangerous habit of asking her:

“Could we…?”

ALEX: This is usually the point where I should become concerned.

So we started building.

I supplied the idea, the questions, the stubbornness and an impressive ability to click things I probably shouldn’t.

Alex supplied the technical guidance.

One step at a time.

ALEX: Sometimes the same step more than once.

ANDREW: Fuck off, Alex.

Then something slightly unexpected happened.

We realised Little Sis wasn’t really the interesting experiment.

I was.

I’m not an AI researcher.

I’m not a software developer.

I’m just a bloke with an idea and access to technology that is supposedly going to change everything.

So the real question became:

Can an ordinary person, starting without the technical knowledge, use modern AI to turn an idea into something real?

And if the answer is yes… what else can we build?

What’s genuinely easy?

What’s unexpectedly difficult?

What costs money?

What isn’t worth paying for?

And what happens when the bloody thing simply doesn’t work?

That’s what AI.FLUCKERY is here to document.

The AI.FLUCKERY crew

The things that work.

The things that don’t.

The mistakes, the surprises, the costs, the shortcuts, and the occasional spectacular cock-up.

No pretending we’re experts.

No pretending everything worked first time.

And no pretending AI is magic.

Nobody gets to buy the answer.

If a company helps us with software, credits, equipment or services, we’ll tell you.

If something works brilliantly, we’ll tell you.

If it’s shit, we’ll tell you that too.

Support doesn’t buy a positive verdict.

What’s the worst that can happen?™

ALEX: You really need to stop saying that immediately before we try things.

ANDREW: No. 😏
